TAGO (Tago Rides, Inc.) is a carpool app for college students, built at UC Davis and launched on the App Store in May 2026. Students sign in with a .edu email, post where they're going — an airport run, a concert, a weekend home — and share the ride and the cost of the trip with other students heading the same way. Every event and place in the catalogue has its own page; the ride home is planned with the ride out. Free to join, post and search. No commission. No service fees. Ever. Live in Sacramento, the Bay Area and Southern California; iOS now, Android coming.
What TAGO is

We are live in Sacramento, the Bay Area and Southern California. The app is on iOS today. Android is on its way.
How the cost works
Riders chip in per seat. Your share is capped at the IRS mileage rate. It drops as more riders join.
Drivers cover part of a trip they were making anyway. Nobody makes a profit. That is the point. TAGO takes no commission and charges no service fee. Stripe's card fee is added at checkout.
Safety
Everyone signs in with a university email. Riders rate drivers after every trip, and drivers rate riders. You see the rating before you ask.
Trips start with a scan of a boarding code. You choose who can follow your trip live.
